50 Years Since the Referendum Resource
As you are aware, 27 May 2017 marks 50 years since the 1967 Referendum.
'Right Wrongs' is a resource produced by the ABC, National and State Libraries Australasia and the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies. To access this resource, use the following link:

The web site commemorates the 50th anniversary of the referendum of 27 May 1967. It sets the scene and chronicles what happened in the lead up to 1967 and the events surrounding the Referendum, as well as what has happened in the 50 years since.
It provides a mixture of archival and contemporary stories.

TDS Early Years Saba Event: NQS Reflecting on Practice
Sawyers
Valley Primary School is a Teacher Development School for Early Years.
We will share the Sawyers Valley NQS journey and how it has provided a
springboard for deep reflection on practice in the Early Years.
Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on current practice
and share ideas on how they have embedded the NQS in early childhood
environments in their contexts.

TDS K-6 HaSS Event: Victorian Schoolhouse Walkthrough
Sawyers Valley Primary School has a heritage building that has been
restored as a museum and Victorian classroom. This resource is available
for school excursions whereby students can be engaged in activity based
learning experiences that take them back to the Victorian era.
We are offering walkthroughs whilst our Sawyers Valley students and educators take part in the activities on offer. This will familiarise teachers with the learning experiences on offer and assist in planning for their own unique Victorian Schoolhouse Experience.
There are four walkthrough times available with limited numbers of 5-6 people per sessions:
Tuesday 6/6/17
Session 1: 9-11:30am
Session 2: 12-2:30pm
Wednesday 7/6/17
Session 1: 9-11:30
Session 2: 12-2:30pm
Participants only need to register for one session. Please register by emailing Carey.Stewart1@education.wa.edu.au. Please note this event is not on the PLIS online calendar.

sharing approaches to assessment, making on balanced judgements and
reporting student achievement in the WA HaSS Learning Area.
