Welcome back one and all to a new term and hopefully you are starting to get into the swing of things, in particular History!
A couple of reminders:
- We have our
3rd History Café next Wednesday (7/8/13) starting at 3:30. We will be
looking at Integrating History and developing some learning plans. Very
exciting! And there will be cake! It is not too late to register via the IPL
website. If it closes, please just send me an
email.
- We are also offering our very first online professional learning via Centra (13/8/13) commencing at 3:30 pm. You can enjoy a History PD from the comfort of your home or school office. Just post me an email if you are interested. It will be a very basic introduction to Australian Curriculum: History. Hopefully all systems will work and I won’t get too muddled!
- We have our first 'Hike Through History K-3' sold out for tomorrow! We have another one planned for the 5th of September - go to the IPL website to register as places are limited.
- Our second History Cafe for the term will be on the 11th of September commencing at 3:30 pm. IPL website to register.
Researching tip!
I was talking with a teacher the other day and they hadn't heard that you can reduce the reading level for students when using a search engine. It may help reduce the number of pages in a search. To modify the reading level it is best to watch this youtube clip. I hope this can be of some help!
